Sorbent drum top covers

A drum top cover is a sorbent pad cut to sit on the head of a drum. Anywhere liquid is decanted, pumped or poured, the drum head collects the drips, and a wet drum head means contaminated hands, slippery grips and residue running down the side of the drum onto the floor. The cover absorbs that residue and is replaced when it is spent.

Our covers come pre-cut with hole cut-outs, so they drop over the bungs of a 40 to 55 gallon drum and sit flat without trimming on site. The standard diameter is 22 inches in a medium weight, packed 25 per case, with 10 gallon absorbency per case.

Both grades are stocked as standard items. Oil-only drum top covers are polypropylene that absorbs oil and petroleum products while repelling water, which suits steel drums standing outdoors where rain would otherwise saturate a universal pad. Universal drum top covers take oil, water, coolants, fuel and more, and are the general choice for indoor decanting areas where the liquid varies.

Hazmat drum top covers are made in the same format for chemical drums. They are also pre-cut with hole cut-outs for any 40 to 55 gallon drum and carry the high-visibility hazmat colour, so a drum holding an aggressive liquid is marked as such from across the room.

Drum top covers are made to order like every other item in the range. Diameter, cut-out pattern, weight, colour and case count are set by your specification, and a container order can mix grades across the pallet.
