Sorbent pillows for sumps, troughs and machine leaks

A pillow is a high-capacity sorbent in a bag: 100% polypropylene filler in a durable skin, sized to be dropped into a place a flat pad cannot reach. They are used on machines, valves and steady drips, and in the sumps, catch basins and waste troughs where liquid collects out of sight.

Oil-only pillows are made from water-repellent polypropylene and excel in waste troughs, coolant tanks and sump wells. Because they take oil-based fluids and leave water behind, they keep absorbing in a tank that already holds water, and they can be thrown straight into a spill on land or on open water to soak up petroleum.

Universal pillows are grey and suitable for any liquid. The colour conceals the spill it has absorbed, which matters in a visible area, and the format suits hard-to-reach spots such as sumps and catch basins where containment rather than wiping is the job.

Chemical pillows are engineered with surfactant-treated polypropylene and absorb a range of chemicals, hydrofluoric acid included. Their chemical inertness means they stay safe in use during packaging and transport, and they belong in any hazmat spill kit or spill contingency plan as the component that deals with acidic and basic liquids alike.

Heavy-duty polypropylene resists tearing, so a saturated pillow can be lifted out of a sump without splitting.
